Beijing/Bangkok, September 28, 2008 - Top-seeded Jelena Jankovic beat No. 4 Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia, 6-3, 6-2, to win the China Open tournament in Beijing.
It was the Serb's second title this season and the seventh of her career.
Top-seeded Novak Djokovic of Serbia was defeated by second-seeded French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-7 (4-7), 4-6, in the final match of the Thailand Open.
